Sittin on the baench
Her feet began to dance
practicing the old soft shoe

Was a kid down the track
Watchin her back
Countin out the one by two

Looked so relaxed
As he studied her act
Copyin her every move


She turned and looked around
Listenin to the sound
As he dipped and hoofed to the groove

She nodded with’im
And answered to the rhythm
As he smiled and doubled her move

Onlookers come alive
As they syncopate the jive
And the train come rumblin through
